We grow every territory like it's our own business.

Manufacturers' representative for the building materials industry — Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

How we drive results.

Lifetime business relationships

We don't chase the next order — we build relationships that last a lifetime. A valued partner, not just a vendor.

Above and beyond

Customers remember who shows up — and we show up. Displays set up by hand, trade functions worked on evenings and weekends, problems run down at the jobsite. When it matters, we're there — and customers don't forget it.

Technical depth

We understand not only the products we sell, but our customers' businesses end to end — how their products are constructed, how their sales teams sell, and which products they buy and why.

Responsiveness

Strike while the iron is hot — calls returned, quotes turned, and problems worked the same day. We beat slower reps to the order. No bread-route calling, either: aggressive, targeted prospecting on accounts with real potential, and every legitimate lead pursued until it's clearly won or lost.

Honesty

Straight talk to customers, and honest market intelligence back to manufacturers on performance, pricing, and competition — even when it isn't what they hoped to hear.

Hablamos Español

More and more tradespeople speak Spanish — federal labor data shows over 4 in 10 U.S. carpenters are now Hispanic or Latino. We're conversationally fluent in construction and shop terminology, from the conference room to the jobsite.

Who We Call On

We call on manufacturers, custom fabricators, dealers, showrooms, and the regional and national distributors that service them — across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

We care deeply about our customers' success — the more they grow, the more they buy. Look after everyone's business and growth follows.

Principal

John Sulzer

Kansas City, MO

John sells by putting himself in his customers' shoes — asking what would matter to him if he were the one doing the buying, not just the selling. He looks for the win-win: when customers succeed, so do the distributors and vendors behind them. He builds deep relationships quickly, and sees his customers as friends, not accounts.

He entered the industry at nineteen as a cabinet rep before pivoting to the components side of the business, and founded Grit in 2026 with eight years of experience as a manufacturers' representative in the cabinetry and building products industry. A background in finance helps him understand his customers' businesses — not just the order, but the economics behind it.

His favorite part of the job is hands-on work — installing product in the shop, troubleshooting at the jobsite, setting up showroom displays. At home everywhere from the conference room to the shop floor.

"When you build each relationship on trust, go above and beyond, and take care of the customer, the orders take care of themselves."
